Systems

Pensar maintains well documented and effectively communicated management systems that detail how we manage quality assurance, occupational health and safety and time and cost control at a business and project level.

Our Integrated Management System (IMS) is based upon the standards of the Civil Contractor's Federation (CCF) and is regularly reviewed to ensure it accurately reflects our operations at all times.

The IMS been assessed by the Department of Main Roads and has been certified to AS/NZ ISO 9001:2000. Following this certification, we have been credited as a Quality Assured Supplier for the Queensland Government, have a Main Roads Rating of R3, B2, F3 and Department of Public Works Rating of PQC1.

Major projects are planned and documented using a specific Project Management Plan (PMP) while smaller projects are covered by a standard PMP that covers the common elements of regular operations.

We manage time and cost on a day to day basis comparing the progress and procurement for the project against the current project program and budget. This ethic is formally documented each month where a full program status and final estimated cost is reported from the project to the construction and business managers.

Our QA systems ensure we can give accurate and timely information regarding control, audit, conformance and testing during and after the project's construction. We create inspection test plans, and complete checklists for the different works involved in the project.

The health and safety and environmental systems identify and document specific risks associated with projects and methods to ensure these are managed effectively. These and common health and safety risks are communicated to the work force through regular safety meetings, documented in safe work methods and verified through regular site audits. Our Safety System has 3rd party accreditation to AS4801.
